I remember falling in love with coffee when I was sitting in a cafe on the Champs Elysees …
I had moved to Paris to follow one love … and ended up with another kind altogther!
In Paris everyone drank coffee
… like it was water, and it wasn’t long before I was doing the same.
It became my life blood, my daily ritual, the whole process of making good strong espresso at home, caring for and cleaning the pull-apart Italian coffee pot, heating the milk … smelling the aroma as I poured the first cup. Ahhhhhh, now this is bliss!
This love affair with coffee has lasted 25 years, and I still love the aroma of an excellent coffee as I sit in cafes in out of the way places, or meander down cobblestone streets in tiny villages, or dash my way around glass monolithic buildings in the heart of cities.
Coffee is the aphrodisiac … I hold the cup in my hands, close to my nose, inhale the delicious aroma, with eyes-almost-closed whilst I anticipate that incredible feeling I’m about to experience.
As I add new pages to this website, you’ll see info on coffee pots, coffee flavours, milk frothers and a whole host of other aroma-inducing moments.
Join me on this tantalising tour of my tastebuds … it’ll be a real shot of coffee!
